Dr. Shuhei Yamamoto is a postdoctoral researcher, working on the beetle superfamily Staphylinoidea in The Hokkaido University Museum, Sapporo, Japan. His research interests are the systematics, paleontology, and natural history of Staphylinoidea, especially those for the tachyporine group of subfamilies (Staphylinidae). I have received a Ph.D. degree in agricultural sciences on March 2017. After that, I studied abroad at The Field Museum of Natural History (FMNH; Chicago, USA) for about two and half years.

Current projects

- Systematics on extant rove beetles (Coleoptera: Staphylinidae), especially for the tachyporine group subfamilies (e.g., Tachyporinae, Aleocharinae)

- Paleontology of amber fossils
